LCSO is Building Relationships of Trust One Fist Bump at a Time

April 3, 2023

Last Friday was a cold Spring morning but a great day for the second Fist Bump Friday.

On Friday Laurens County Sheriff, Don Reynolds and Deputies were on the scene at county schools (Joanna, Ford, Hickory Tavern, Gray Court, Ware Shoals, Waterloo, LDHS, and Laurens Academy) to build relationships with the children through a smile and a fist bump.

If you were not there to see it firsthand, the photos (see gallery below) indicate that Fist Bump Friday was a big hit with the kids and deputies.

“We enjoy the opportunity to be at our schools and build relationships of trust with the children,” said Sheriff Don Reynolds. “It was a great morning to greet them as they arrived at school. Just a simple gesture of a fist bump and a smile helps to build trust between Law Enforcement and children.”

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) plans to continue this program with periodic “Fist Bump Fridays” to be scheduled.
