Leadership Charleston announces Class of 2017

September 9, 2016
Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Charleston, a highly sought after professional development program established in 1974, is proud to announce the Class of 2017.
 .
Leadership Charleston’s mission is to identify and motivate emerging leaders and to develop leadership potential by introducing them to the realities, opportunities and challenges of our civic and business communities. The program focuses on the primary issues facing our region, including infrastructure, talent development and business advocacy.
 .
The 43rd Leadership Charleston class will experience the power of working with other community leaders and organizations for positive growth and advancement of the region. Upon graduating in June 2017, class members will become Leadership Charleston Alumni, an distinguished group of leaders, including Chamber Board of Directors, elected officials and prominent local leaders.
 .
“I am very excited for the incoming Leadership Charleston class and the behind-the-scenes experiences, sit downs with local visionaries and professional connections they will gain over the next year,” said Meredith Siemens, Executive Director, Public Relations and Communications for South Carolina Federal Credit Union and Leadership Charleston Class of 2014 alum.
 .
Leadership Charleston participants are selected from applications accepted in May and June of each year for the next class which begins in September.
