Leadership Golden Strip Kicks Off Class 3 with 16 Strong Current & Emerging Leaders

Fountain Inn, SC- Leadership Golden Strip, a year long, collaborative leadership program of the Greater Mauldin, Simpsonville Area, and Fountain Inn Chambers, launched Class #3 on January 24th with a mixer, and a full day of team building on the 25th at the Mauldin Cultural Center. The mission of Leadership Golden Strip is to educate and inspire a diverse group of current and emerging leaders to create collaborations and partnerships to impact the community needs of the Upstate of South Carolina.

The class meets monthly, engaging in Activities and Information Sessions designed to educate the participants about their communities, infrastructure, arts, culture, history, education, healthcare and local & state government. The Class will take trips to the Fountain Inn Museum, Simpsonville Arts Center, the Inland Port and the State House.

LGS Class 3 will complete a group project designed to enhance the Golden Strip Community before graduation in late fall 2023. Previous projects include the Fountain Inn Splashpad, the Simpsonville Sensory Playground, and the Fit Trails. The next cohort will begin in January 2024.
