Leading expert in unconscious racial bias coming to the Midlands

March 4, 2020

One of the world’s leading experts on unconscious racial bias, Dr. Jennifer Eberhardt, is coming to Columbia, South Carolina. Join Richland Library and the Together SC Summit for Biased: Uncovering the Hidden Prejudice That Shapes What We See, Think, and Do from 7:30 – 9 p.m., Wednesday, March 4 in the Columbia Marriott’s Carolina Ballroom (1200 Hampton Street). This program is free and open to the public. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Eberhardt looks to build upon material from her 2019 book. She also plans to share stories, science and strategies to address “one of the central controversies of our time while showing how we can be vulnerable to bias – but not doomed to live under its grip.”

A book sale and signing are scheduled, following the program.
