Learn-to-Fly open house at Georgetown Co. Airport

September 10, 2022

CHS Flight School is holding an Open House this Saturday, September 17th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Georgetown County Airport.

The event is free and open to anyone interested in learning how to fly and take their first step in obtaining a private pilot’s license. The private pilot’s license is the first milestone in starting a career in aviation, or just flying for fun or business.

“We know that flying a plane is your dream and we are here to make that dream come true”, said CHS Flight School owner Mike McCurdy.

New at CHS Flight School’s Georgetown location is a state-of-the-art RedBird flight simulator. During the open house everyone is welcome to try it out for free.

One of the main attractions will be the $99 Discovery Flights. This is your chance to take the controls and experience the thrill of learning to fly an airplane.

The Georgetown County Airport is conveniently located just off U.S. 17 in Georgetown County, at 129 Airport Road.

CHS Flight School offers flight training under the direction of qualified flight instructors. Utilizing a state-of-the-art flight simulator will quickly prepare you to fly one of their planes, cuts the cost of training, and lessens the time to obtain your private pilot’s license. CHS Flight School also offers accelerated instrument pilot and commercial pilot training.
