Lee & Associates Charleston completes grocer-anchor transaction; West Ashley BI-LO to transition into Lowes Foods by this Fall

Lee & Associates Charleston’s Bob Nuttall, SIOR, CPM, and Cori Nuttall, and the owner of Bees Ferry Crossing are happy to announce Lowes Foods has signed an agreement to purchase the BI-LO grocery store located at Bees Ferry Crossing, 3125 Bees Ferry Road, Charleston, SC. The 64,915 SF neighborhood center has been professionally managed and leased by Lee & Associates Charleston for almost fifteen years and since 2001, BI-LO has served as a wonderful anchor. This is the next chapter for Bees Ferry Crossing, and we look forward to them serving as a tremendous asset to the community and as an anchor tenant to the center.
Lowes Foods is a Carolinas-based grocer well known for offering produce and products from the Carolinas and currently operates two stores in the Charleston area. The purchase is slated to be completed in the fall and until then, the newly purchased store will continue to operate as BI-LO. The store plans to rebrand where shoppers can expect to see the full Lowes Foods experience, including its specialty shopping areas called Lowes Foods Originals.
