Leighton Lord Graduates from Midlands Diversity Leaders Initiative

June 4, 2009

COLUMBIA, SC – June 4, 2009 – Nexsen Pruet is pleased to announce that Board Chairman Leighton Lord has graduated from the Midlands Diversity Leaders Initiative.   The initiative is a program administered through The Riley Institute at Furman.

Participants in the DLI are from all demographic groups and are chosen through nominations and applications.  Whether they are from corporate, non-profit, faith-based, education or public sectors – the goal is for each to build leadership skills while learning about complex diversity issues and searching for solutions.

“Our firm is committed to diversity.  That commitment includes a proactive examination of the best ways to solve the challenges facing our community,“ Lord said.   “I am proud to have been able to collaborate with such high-caliber professionals who are equally dedicated to enhancing their businesses and organizations through diversity.”

The Riley Institute Diversity Leaders Initiative began in 2003.  Since then, more than 400 professionals have completed the program.  Click here to learn more.
