Leighton Lord reelected to new three-year term as Nexsen Pruet Board Chairman

Nexsen Pruet announced that the Firm’s attorneys reelected Leighton Lord to a new three-year term as Chairman of the Board.

Lord has now served as Board Chairman for nearly 11 years. Following the addition of this new term ending in 2025, he will have spent a total of 14 years in this role, shaping the vision and strategy for the Firm’

Lord practices in the areas of economic development, corporate, partnership and real estate law. His legal practice has a special emphasis on siting economic development projects, real estate financing, general business law, and formation and opinions on Delaware entities. In addition to serving as Chairman of Nexsen Pruet, he is the Managing Director of the firm’s communications affiliate, NP Strategy, LLC.

Prior to joining Nexsen Pruet in 1994, Lord clerked for the Delaware Chancery Court before practicing corporate litigation in Wilmington, Del. He also served for three years as staff counsel to the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations.
