Lexington Chamber receives Communications Excellence Award for Dining On The Dam

The Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center received a 2020 Communication Excellence Award from The Carolinas Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (CACCE) during a meeting of the membership Friday.

The award was given in recognition of the Chamber’s advertising and marketing efforts for the inaugural Dining On The Dam that hosted nearly 1,300 guests on Lexington’s most recognized landmark, the Lake Murray Dam.

The Communication Excellence Awards recognize outstanding communications efforts by chambers of commerce in North Carolina and South Carolina.

Communications were recognized in the following four categories:

1 – Advertising & Marketing
2 – Campaigns
3 – Electronic
4 – Publications

One award was presented to the highest scoring chamber in each of the four categories based on the following chamber sizes:

  • Under 700 members, or
  • Over 700 members

Entries were judged based on originality, design and quality, and results achieved.The entries reflected communication efforts taken or completed during
the past 18 months.
