Lexington County School District One Board approves Gramling promotion and Huffines new hire

During the September 20, 2016 regular monthly meeting of the Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees, the board approved the promotion of Paul F. Gramling to network services coordinator and the hiring of Zachary S. Huffines as senior network engineer in the Information Technology Office.

As senior network engineer for the district, Paul Gramling designed and supervised the installation of multiple school networks, managed vendors during new school construction and worked with principals to troubleshoot technical issues at their schools.

Before joining Lexington One in 2002, Gramling served as information systems network manager at School District Five of Lexington and Richland Counties for two years and for Orangeburg Consolidated School District 5 as a technical specialist from 1996 to 2000.

Stepping into Gramling’s position as senior network engineer, Zachary Huffines most recently worked for Palmetto Health as network engineer from 2014 to 2016. While there, he provided support for the network infrastructure at four hospital campuses and more than 25 clinical offices.

Prior to joining Palmetto Health, Huffines served as network manager for School District Five of Lexington and Richland Counties from 2007 to 2014 as the primary contact for all network operations at 21 schools and the district office.

Earlier in his career, from 2001 to 2007, Huffines worked as a computer technician for Lexington District One.

Huffines also spent 21 years as a member of the North Carolina Air National Guard where he worked in cyber surety and cyber system operations.

He is a Cisco Certified Network Associate, who holds an associate degree in computer science from Haywood Community College.
