Lexington One Promotes Taylor

stephLEXINGTON, SC – May 5, 2014 – At a special board meeting/board budget workshop of the Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees held on April 29, 2014, the board approved the promotion of Stephanie Gardner Taylor to the position of assistant administrator at Forts Pond Elementary School.

Taylor has 11 years in public education and began her career as a teacher at Saxe Gotha Elementary School in 2003. She transferred to Carolina Springs Elementary School when it opened in 2007.

She received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts in Divergent Learning from Columbia College and an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Walden University in St. Paul, Minnesota. She has elementary education and K–12 principal certifications.

She has received eight Donors Choose Grants, a Michelin Golden Apple Grant and an EIA Science Grant.

She is a member of the American Education Association, International Reading Association, and Carolina Springs PTO Committee. She is also co-director of the Carolina Kids After-School Program.
