Lexington resident Dr. Rod Walters invited to lead NFL Seminar on Concussion Management

Rod Walters, certified athletic trainer and former University of South Carolina Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine has been invited by the Professional Football Athletic Trainers Association to provide an evidence-based, continued education seminar at the annual NFL Combine onFebruary 22, 2016 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Concussions in the NFL have recently come to the forefront of the game in the last decade. The NFL has made it a priority to protect its players through concussion training and protocols.

When asked how he felt about leading this national event, Dr. Walters had this to say, “I am very honored and humbled by the opportunity to represent the Professional Football Athletic Trainers Association on such an important topic.”

Randy Cohen, Associate Director of Athletics for Medical Services at the University of Arizona and Bridgett Wall, President of 360 Balance and Hearing will accompany Walters.
