LHS Athletic Director Receives 4A Region V Athletic Director of the Year Award

LEXINGTON, SC – Athletic directors and principals in Region V chose Lexington High Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Josh Stepp as the 4A Region V Athletic Director of the Year.
Stepp is now under consideration for the State Athletic Director of the Year award selected by the South Carolina Athletic Administrators Association (SCAAA). SCAAA will announce the winner of that award during 2015 South Carolina Spring Conference for Athletics held in Charleston next month.
Stepp joined the LHS athletic department as athletic director and head football coach in 2013 and has eight years of coaching experience.
During his time at LHS, Wildcat athletic teams have won 17 region championships and three state championships. Stepp has also created a leadership council for athletes. The group meets monthly to increase peer-driven leadership on the school’s athletic teams.
