Lights, camera, Christmas: Clinton parade rolls out a movie theme Dec. 5

The city of Clinton will bring the big screen to Main Street this holiday season as the annual Christmas parade returns with a movie-inspired theme.
The parade is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, in downtown Clinton.
City officials are encouraging businesses, schools, churches, civic organizations, clubs, families and community groups to build entries around a favorite Christmas film. Suggested inspiration includes “The Polar Express,” “Home Alone,” “Elf,” “The Santa Clause” and “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” though organizers said the options are wide open.
Participants are asked to pick a film, add a holiday twist and bring the idea to life along the parade route.
