Limitless Purpose provides opportunities for all children

February 18, 2025

As Limitless Purpose celebrates its 5th anniversary, the organization has announced two opportunities for children and families: Limitless Learner Summer Incentive Awards and the annual free Family Celebration event in March.

The Limitless Learner awards are intended to provide an opportunity for children with disabilities to continue learning and growing over the summer. Families can apply for up to $500 that can be used to assist with tuition or registration costs for inclusive learning opportunities, summer camps or recreational programs, and group activities.

“Research proves that every child benefits from summer learning,” says Volunteer President Padgett Mozingo. “But for children who look or learn differently, it is even more vital. Programs that reinforce critical learning and life skills – and opportunities to socialize – allow children with disabilities to continue growing and learning over the summer.”

Applications, which can be found at LimitlessPurpose.org, are due by February 28.

And the Limitless Purpose volunteer board is especially excited to partner with Camp Cole, located at 1571 Crossing Creek Rd. in Eastover, for its free annual Family Celebration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 22.

Children of all ages and abilities are invited to enjoy games and activities led by the talented Camp Cole team, while parents and caregivers have a short break to relax, visit a resource fair and connect with other parents and caregivers. Siblings are welcome!

Although the event is free, registration is required for each child and adult. Visit LimitlessPurpose.org to register or for more information.

As the statewide nonprofit enters its fifth year, it is also celebrating its accomplishments. Specifically, Limitless Purpose:

  • awarded nearly $85,000 in learning incentives to help more than 290 children and teens with intellectual disabilities experience a summer camp or other opportunity that helps them continue to thrive.
  • placed more than 37,000 books in the hands of children and families who need them most through partnerships with schools, pediatricians and Limitless Libraries.
  • presented an annual Limitless Impact Award to recognize individuals and organizations who have established or provided inclusive opportunities to help children and young people.
  • hosted a free annual event for children and their families with free entertainment, refreshments and access to useful resources.

Monthly Fun with Friends events were introduced this past summer to allow families time to connect and have fun.

With the generous support of many donors and sponsors, Limitless Purpose will continue working to help all children grow, learn and thrive.
