Lindsey Graham endorsed by every South Carolina constitutional officer

June 19, 2019

Team Graham announced today that every statewide elected constitutional officer in South Carolina has endorsed Lindsey Graham’s 2020 re-election campaign for the United States Senate.

Graham received endorsements from the following South Carolina constitutional officers, all of whom are Republicans:

  • Governor Henry McMaster
  • Lt. Governor Pamela Evette
  • Attorney General Alan Wilson
  • Treasurer Curtis Loftis
  • Superintendent of Education Molly Spearman
  • Secretary of State Mark Hammond
  • Commissioner of Agriculture Hugh Weathers
  • Comptroller General Richard Eckstrom
  • and former Adjutant General Bob Livingston, the last elected leader of the South Carolina National Guard

“I appreciate the support of all our statewide constitutional officers in South Carolina,” said Senator Graham. “They do a tremendous job serving the people of our state, and I am proud to call them my friends.”

Governor Henry McMaster said, “President Donald Trump and South Carolina have no better advocate in the Senate than Lindsey Graham. Senator Graham’s commitment to securing our country’s southern border, ensuring the Charleston Harbor is deepened, and helping South Carolina’s economy grow is unmatched.”

Lt. Governor Pamela Evette added, “Lindsey Graham has worked tirelessly to advance our conservative values, protect life, and cut taxes for South Carolina families. I am especially grateful to Senator Graham for how much he supports small businesses, which are the backbone of our economy.”

Attorney General Alan Wilson said, “No one in Washington has been more effective at defending the rule of law than Lindsey Graham, who now serves as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. From the U.S. Supreme Court to the District Courts, Chairman Graham has been instrumental in confirming constitutional conservative judges at all levels.”

General Bob Livingston concluded, “Senator Graham has the backs of our men and women in uniform, and they appreciate it. He retired from the U.S. Air Force Reserves after 33 years of honorable service, and he’s visited the Middle East more than 50 times. That’s part of the reason why he’s such a well-respected leader on national security issues.”

Today’s announcement follows two campaign kickoff events featuring Vice President Mike Pence in March and a fundraising haul that brought in over $2 million in the first quarter of 2019.
