Live outdoor concerts return this spring with Safe Sounds at Firefly

February 14, 2021

Firefly Distillery, South Carolina’s oldest working distillery, announced the third installment of its social distanced concert series, Safe Sounds at Firefly powered by REV Federal Credit Union in partnership with Ear For Music. Presented by Bud Light Seltzer, the spring Safe Sounds concert series will kick off on April 17 and will feature national musicians and homegrown favorites. Attendees will enjoy live music, refreshments and food truck fare from the sprawling fields of the new Firefly Distillery in Park Circle, 4201 Spruill Avenue, allowing for safe social distancing.

Tickets are available for purchase at https://charleston.boldtypetickets.com/events/110331939/safe-sounds-at-firefly-music-series

“We’re excited to welcome visitors back for the spring Safe Sounds concert series, which offers a great way to get outside in the most beautiful time of the year and safely enjoy something we’ve all been missing—live concerts!” said Scott Newitt, co-owner of Firefly Distillery. “With the help of our partners, and with precautions in place to make sure our guests feel safe and welcome, the spring series will be better than ever.”

Limiting capacity to 10 percent, 200 VIP “Safe Sounds Squares” are available for each concert, which secures four guests a ten by ten footprint on the field, separated on all sides by 8-feet. Single back lawn tickets are also available for select concerts.

Each concert will run from 7 to 10 pm, with doors opening at 6 pm, and will feature live music performances, beer, wine and local food trucks. Charleston’s popular DJ Natty Heavy will emcee the series and spin during set breaks. Guests are encouraged to come before the show to enjoy a Firefly Distillery tour, tasting and cocktails.

“Safe Sounds at Firefly has reinvented the way concerts are experienced, and we can’t wait to welcome live music fans back this spring,” said Rob Lamble, owner of Ear For Music. “After sold out shows in the fall, we’re excited to host an expanded stellar lineup of musical talent.”

  • Requiring all staff and vendors to wear masks
  • Offering hand sanitizer to guests throughout the distillery grounds
  • Providing extra restrooms with sanitation attendant for the concert series
  • Providing extra security for the concert series to enforce social distancing
  • Spacing picnic tables and concert series squares 8 feet apart
  • Providing a safe and welcoming environment for all
