A proud married, homeschooling mom of two, Ginger’s story is as vibrant and layered as the celebrations she crafts. Born in Costa Rica and raised in Minnesota before putting down roots in Greenville, SC, she carries with her a rich background in the humanities, years of hands-on experience working with children, and an unwavering passion for empowering young girls and creating meaningful experiences for families.
Long before she ever launched a business, Ginger was the person everyone trusted to make a gathering feel special. But the real lightbulb flicked on when she threw a 12th birthday party for her sister—orchestrating a full spa day for twenty energetic girls. Watching that room light up with laughter, easy conversation, and genuine confidence-building stuck with her.
The idea refused to fade. After moving to Greenville two years ago, 2025 rolled around, and Ginger decided it was finally time to jump. “Maybe this is the moment to do something crazy,” she told herself.
Turns out, it wasn’t crazy at all. It was right on time.
In Costa Rica, there’s an age-old cultural belief that a strong community of women is responsible for longevity and living well. Bringing that mindset straight to the Upstate, Ginger zeroed in on what today’s girls actually need: freedom to be themselves, entirely away from outside pressures. In our digital age of social media, comparison traps, and the relentless chirps of smartphones, simple childhood moments are getting crowded out. Cutecumber was dreamed up as the antidote—an intentional space for girls to be creative, connect with one another, and just breathe.
Above everything else, that is what matters most to her. She wants to give young girls a genuine chance to live completely in the moment, unhooked from expectations, and feel the rare freedom of simply being themselves.
“Cutecumber was born from that passion—and from my own love of celebrating femininity in a fun, age-appropriate, and confidence-building way,” Ginger shares.
Becoming a Master of Ceremonies has long been a dream of hers because she truly loves bringing people together, setting an atmosphere, and helping a celebration come to life. That passion for entertaining is woven into every detail: the soft hum of chatter, the cool touch of cucumber slices, the quiet clinking of mixing bowls, and little hands tying ribbons around handmade keepsakes.
“I put so much thought into every experience—from the activities girls enjoy and the keepsakes they take home, to the little moments of laughter, connection, encouragement, and joy that happen along the way,” Ginger says. “Because to me, an unforgettable celebration isn’t just about what we create or take home. It’s about how girls feel while they’re there—seen, celebrated, connected, and completely present in the moment.”
As she puts it best: “We don’t just host parties—we create moments your daughter will treasure forever. Because growing up should feel celebrated—one birthday at a time.”
While her cozy spa setups keep living rooms feeling like personal retreats, she’s bringing an entirely new rhythm to the lineup this season with an exclusive, limited fall package: The Blackwood Mystery Soirée. Built for an intimate group of five girls, the lights dim for an immersive whodunit full of whispered clues, sealed envelopes, and page-turning drama.
