Lizard’s Thicket adds kale salad to menu

May 31, 2016

Lizard’s Thicket, which has 15 restaurants in the Midlands and Florence, S.C., has added a fresh Kale Salad to its list of 27 available sides.

Made with raw, leafy kale, cranberries, shredded carrots and a tangy Italian-style dressing, the Kale Salad is available as a side item with any meat-and-vegetable plate ($5.99 – $7.99) or as part of any all-vegetable plate ($5.49 – $6.49).

“We’re proud to be a Columbia and South Carolina institution for serving great, fresh meals to families at a great price,” said Bobby Williams, chairman of Lizard’s Thicket. “Our trademark is comfort food, but we know that today’s busy families see Lizard’s Thicket as a place to gather when they can’t cook at home, and having healthier options that taste great, like this kale salad and many of our other salads and baked chicken, for example, is important to us.”
