LMG Architects celebrates 5 years with a new website

December 5, 2019

This past year, LMG Architects, LLC celebrated five years of service to the Upstate community and beyond. Originally started in 2005 by Lura Godfrey, the company changed names in 2014, with the addition of her husband, Mark Godfrey. During the past five years, LMG Architects has grown to four employees (Monica Floyd joined in 2016 and Lindsay Lawhead in 2017) and has opened an office on Stone Avenue. LMG’s residential work has enhanced many of Greenville’s established neighborhoods, and their commercial work with many Upstate developers, contractors and business owners has allowed LMG Architects to become a trusted name.

LMG’s portfolio includes many well-known businesses throughout Greenville, Spartanburg and the surrounding areas. Projects such as Kitchen Sync, Pour Taproom, Thrive Family Medicine, Todaro Pizza, Monkey Wrench Smokehouse, Blo Blow Dry Bar, Unleashed Dog Bar, The Wine House and Piney Mountain Bike Lounge have become staples in the area.

Future projects such as Rocky’s Hot Chicken Shack, Holland Park and Woodson Exchange, as well as other residential and commercial work will continue to shape the Upstate’s built environment.

During this milestone year, LMG Architects wanted to refresh their current presence on the web to adequately showcase their past work, as well as to highlight projects which are either on the boards or under construction. They turned to local web design and digital marketing company Engenius (engeniusweb.com) to help with the new website. The newly redesigned site (still at www.lmg-architects.com) features an extensive project listing page, but also offers a more in depth look at the people and the processes that define LMG Architects.

LMG Architects is a residential and commercial architecture firm dedicated to quality, service, and the creation of better communities for individuals and businesses. In addition to their professional portfolio, LMG has also volunteered with Rebuild Upstate, Pickens County Habitat for Humanity, USGBC SC Chapter, and the City of Greenville. Lura, Mark, Monica and Lindsay have over 60 years of combined experience in the architectural profession, as well as experience in urban planning and landscape architecture.
