A special delivery arrived for 3-year-old Wyatt from Greer on Wednesday. Gathered with his family at Fairway Subaru in Greenville, Wyatt received a bernedoodle puppy from Make-A-Wish® South Carolina.
Wyatt battles chronic respiratory failure. Blind and developmentally delayed due to his critical illness, he responds positively to sounds and soft textures. When the new puppy, ordained “Baxter” by the family, was placed on Wyatt’s lap a large smile appeared on his face. The soft fur of the dog delighted him.
Wishes bring hope to children fighting critical illnesses and give them renewed energy to fight harder and feel better. Wishes need stars in our community to make them come true. Partners like Fairway Subaru help create essential hope for kids like Wyatt.
Fairway Subaru hosted Wyatt’s wish reveal on Wednesday in celebration of their upcoming Share the Love campaign which begins on November 19th. During Share the Love consumers can bring joy to children when they need it most by electing to donate to Make-A-Wish® from the choice of participating national charities after purchasing or leasing a new Subaru vehicle.
“We are so grateful to the shining stars all around us – the volunteers, donors, and corporate partners like Fairway Subaru who have the power to bring hope to children, families and communities who need it most.,” said Misty Farmer, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish South Carolina. “This is a wish that will be life-changing for Wyatt and his family and bring them irreplaceable comfort through difficult days.”
