September 2, 2014

CHARLESTON, SC – Due to tremendous growth over the last three years, JEAR Logistics, LLC, a Charleston-based freight brokerage company, has made Inc. Magazine’s America’s 500 Fastest Growing Private Companies list.

Founded in 2007, JEAR Logistics provides third-party, product transportation in the United States and Canada. Widely known for excellent customer service, JEAR Logistics has seen an impressive 968.6% rate of growth from 2011-2013. Such monumental growth has earned JEAR Logistics the #491 spot on Inc.’s list. Only two other companies from South Carolina are on the list, and just six of the 500 are logistics companies.

“We’re all thrilled to represent Charleston, SC and to be a part of this prestigious group. Our success is a direct reflection of the effort our team puts forth 24 hours a day, seven days a week. That, and our core values of effort, service, teamwork, accountability and integrity define who we are and how we succeed,” said Mark Neumeyer, President and Founder of JEAR Logistics, LLC.

The Inc. 500 list is considered to be the most comprehensive ranking of America’s up-and-coming entrepreneurial companies. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue for three years prior to the application deadline, be US-based, privately held, for profit, and independent. The minimum revenue for 2010 was $100,000 and for 2013, $2 million. The complete list can be found in the September issue of the magazine, and on Inc.com.

“Things are moving really fast, but we’re in a great position to keep up. We have an incredible team of smart, skilled people, dedicated to bringing the best service to our customers,” said Patrick O’Connor, Vice President of JEAR Logistics, LLC.

Founded by Mark Neumeyer in 2007 in Milford, Ohio, JEAR Logistics, LLC started as a three-man operation. After relocating to Charleston, South Carolina in 2011, two additional freight brokers were added to the team. JEAR experienced substantial growth in sales and staff between 2011 and 2013, adding 20 new employees during that period. Today sales top $35 million annually and employees number 35.
