Leesville’s Hollow Creek Distillery begins production of an original recipe wheated whiskey
Nearly three months after the introduction of Low Water Vodka, Hollow Creek Distillery is launching another new product to their growing family of spirits.
With the expansion of their new 5,000 sq ft production facility nearing completion, owners Craig and Meredith Amick have announced the addition of a new product to their small batch distillery. The makers of 9 varieties of Moonshine, Hollow Creek also produces High Cotton Bourbon, White Hot Cinnamon Whiskey and Low Water© Vodka which successfully launched in March.
34.08 Whiskey is a handcrafted, wheated whiskey distilled and bottled by Hollow Creek Distillery in Leesville, SC, where the family has lived for 9 generations.
Pronounced “thirty-four OH eight”, this new spirit continues the recognition of the family’s longstanding history by taking its name from the latitude where great granddad Captain Tom Amick had his ferry crossing on the Saluda River, long before Lake Murray ever was.
Driven by faith, family and hard work, Amick chose to represent the brand using a compass with the coordinates for its symbolic meaning of motivation and inspiration as well as its metaphoric meaning of representing deeply held beliefs, values and principles.
The launch of 34.08 Whiskey will be celebrated with a nod to Father’s Day on Saturday June 19th, from 10 am to 7 pm. Visitors are welcome to stop on by to grab a bottle, a t-shirt, or a stylish truckers cap, all of which make great gifts for Dad. Guests can also visit with Stoney Creek Cigar and Enhance by Brittiney from 12 noon to 4 pm, with hand rolled cigars and a brand-new BBQ Sauce made with our High Cotton Bourbon. Plus there’ll be a tasty free 34.08 Whiskey Highball cocktail for every one of legal drinking age.
Production of all Hollow Creek spirits continues in the original red barn tucked beneath the pines on Rocky Ridge Road off Highway 378 in Leesville and will move to the new 5,000sf expansion once construction is completed.
Plan your visit during normal business hours: Thursday, 1 pm – 7 pm; Friday, 10 am – 7 pm; and Saturday, from 10 am – 7 pm. They are located off SC Hwy 378 at 112 Rocky Ridge Road, Leesville, SC.
