Local nonprofit’s virtual fundraiser raises over $2k for Greenville’s homeless

March 29, 2023

Bright Lights Greenville, a local nonprofit supporting the homeless, has raised more than $2,000 through their virtual fundraiser held March 13-17.

Bright Lights Greenville is a 501(c)(3) youth-led organization aimed at reducing the wealth gap between the homeless and hygiene products. Through community partners like Triune Mercy Center, Catholic Charities of South Carolina, and St. Anthony of Padua Church Outreach, Bright Lights Greenville packages and distributes 150 hygiene kits per month to the homeless of Greenville County.

Started by the Farrell Family during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Bright Lights Greenville has flourished thanks to community support. Funded largely by grassroots donations, Bright Lights relies on the community in order to continue its work.

Hosted on the RallyUp virtual fundraising platform, supporters from across the country had the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets or bid to win. A wide variety of prizes were auctioned/raffled off, including a Nespresso Vertuo Coffee and Espresso Machine, Apple AirPods Pro, a year-long Netflix subscription, a $300 Aldi Gift Card Package, a $150 Table301 Gift Card, $100 Hall’s Chophouse Gift Card, a Custom Massage by MassageEnvy and much more! Bright Lights Greenville is proud to announce that more than $2,000 was raised to support our work with the homeless.

Special thanks to sponsors, including Table301, AldiUSA, and Hall’s Chophouse!
