Local software company, Kopis, creates new podcast

May 15, 2019

Leading software company, Kopis, has started a new podcast called EDGE.

The podcast is hosted and produced by the company’s own Cody Edgar with new episodes each month. This latest venture for the company will focus on interviewing business leaders throughout the Upstate to share experiences within the software industry.

“We really wanted to broaden our online presence throughout the community and with podcasts being so popular, we decided to test the waters with EDGE,” said Andrew Kurtz, president and CEO of Kopis. “Our intent is to get people more interested in the software business as well as gain some insight on what we do.”

The first episode of EDGE spotlights Lelia King, executive director of Build Carolina. King shares her experience with Build Carolina as well as its predecessor, The Iron Yard. She explains the importance of high quality tech training in a landscape where software professionals are in high demand. King also provides insight on the role Build Carolina plays in connecting business owners with talent.

The first episode of EDGE can be listened to on the Kopis website.
