Lock-Up for a Cause: Join Laurens County Sheriff’s Office in Their Annual Jail and Bail Fundraiser

April 16, 2024

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office invites the community to participate in their annual Jail and Bail event, a cornerstone fundraiser benefiting the Christmas for Kids program. This event, held on Friday, May 31st, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at The Plaza on the Historic Courthouse Square, promises a day of fun and goodwill. Last year’s event raised more than $24,000 to support the Christmas for Kids initiative.

Courtney Snow, Public Information Officer with the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office, expresses her enthusiasm for the upcoming event, stating, “The Jail and Bail fundraiser is not only a fun way to engage with the community but also a vital opportunity to support our Christmas for Kids program.”

Participants set their fundraising goal, or “bail,” at a minimum of $100 and start collecting donations leading up to the event. Successful fundraisers avoid being “jailed” on the day of the event but are welcome to join the festivities for photo ops and support. Those who haven’t met their goal can secure pledges on-site with the help of friends and family.

Whether you’re a first-time participant or a seasoned supporter, the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office welcomes you to join in the fun and make a meaningful impact.

To sign up for the Jail and Bail event or to learn more, please contact Courtney Snow at 864-681-4509 or by email to [email protected]. Businesses are encouraged to participate as teams, and individuals can nominate willing colleagues, family members, and friends to be part of this fundraiser.

Make a difference in the lives of Laurens County children and experience a day of community spirit at the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office Jail and Bail event on May 31st!
