Lowcountry Food Bank hires Teresa Johnson as Director of People and Culture

The Lowcountry Food Bank, whose mission is to lead the fight against hunger throughout the 10 coastal counties of South Carolina, is pleased to announce the hiring of Teresa Johnson as Director of People and Culture. Johnson has 15 years of expertise in human resources. She previously served as Human Resource Director of REV Federal Credit Union in Summerville.

The Lowcountry Food Bank Director of People and Culture leads and executes all Human Resource functional initiatives that provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture. This position plays an integral role in the organization’s efforts to create a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace where employees feel valued, respected, and engaged at work.

Her role includes recruitment and cultivation of talent, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, benefits, policy development and implementation, training and professional development, compliance and reporting, recognition, and reward.

Johnson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Limehouse College.
