Lowcountry Food Bank names three new Board members

Lowcountry Food Bank (LCFB) announced that three new Board members have joined its Board of Directors: Mark Crocker, Rick Redden, and Dr. Kimberly Butler Willis.
The LCFB Board is comprised of community leaders who are responsible for good stewardship of the LCFB, a commitment to the LCFB mission, managing policies and bylaws, identifying key areas of strengths and opportunities for Board development and understanding and supporting the fundraising needs of the organization.
“I look forward to working with our newest Board members as we move forward our mission to lead the fight against hunger in our community,” said Monica Scott, Chair, LCFB Board of Directors. “Each of them brings expertise, new opportunity for collaboration, and innovation to serve our neighbors who struggle with hunger.”
Mark Crocker recently retired from Dixon Hughes Goodman, where he was a founding partner, and he has performed the organization’s financial audits for eight years. He is former Chair of the South Carolina Board of Accountancy. He earned MBA and Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of South Carolina and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Rick Redden recently retired as President of the Wells Fargo Atlantic Region. Rick has a long history of community involvement. He currently serves on the Kennedy Center National Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors, and the Appalachian State University Executive Advisory Council. He earned an MBA from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Dr. Kimberly Butler Willis serves as the Director of Community Health at Roper St. Francis Healthcare. Dr. Willis earned her Ph.D. in Public Health from the University of South Carolina. Kimberly is also an adjunct Healthcare Administration Instructor for Webster University, and a Certified Diversity Professional (CDP). Her professional and academic achievements were recognized by SC Black Pages 20 under 40 in 2018.
Outgoing Board members Tiffany Crumpton, Evie Evans, and Brett Hulsey have just completed six years of service on the Board of Directors. Ms. Crumpton served as Board Vice Chair from 2017-2019 and conducted the yearly board CEO evaluation. Ms. Evans served as Governance Committee Chair from 2017-2019 and served on the Governance Committee all six years of her board term. Mr. Hulsey headed the Development Committee from 2017-2020 and served as Board Secretary from 2017-2020 and Board Vice Chair in 2021.
