“We are grateful to Atlas Tech, all our sponsors, partners and our community at-large, for stepping up to ensure that Lowcountry children across coastal South Carolina have access to healthy food this year,” said Nick Osborne, Lowcountry Food Bank President and CEO. “Simply one unexpected expense can put a neighbor in a difficult situation to provide food for their children on any given day. As living expenses, gas and grocery prices remain high, funds raised at Chefs’ Feast help ensure that children who face food insecurity will have consistent access to the food they need to thrive.”
Unfortunately, one in five children in the Lowcountry experiences food insecurity. For 26 years, LCFB has depended on Chefs’ Feast to fund its childhood hunger programs. Proceeds from Chefs’ Feast benefit Kids Café, Backpack Buddies, School Market, School Pantry and Summer Meals – which alleviate after-school, weekend, and summer hunger for children.
