LS3P congratulates new CEO Marc Marchant

February 3, 2020

LS3P announced that Marc Marchant, AIA, LEED AP, has officially transitioned from CEO Elect to CEO, effective February 3, 2020. Marchant, a Charleston native who was named CEO-Elect on May 1, 2019, joined the firm in 1999. A graduate of Clemson University with both a Bachelor of Science in Design and a Master of Architecture, Marchant has previously served as Studio Leader, Charleston Office Leader, and Healthcare Practice Leader.

Former CEO Thompson E. Penney, FAIA, LEED AP, will continue to serve as Chair of the firm’s Board of Directors. Penney was named CEO of the firm in 1989, and believes that Marchant’s drive, passion, leadership, and business acumen make him an ideal successor.

“Marc has my utmost confidence as he assumes the position of CEO,” Penney said. “As we begin a new year and a new decade, we are ready to implement a new five-year strategic plan. The timing is perfect for Marc to assume full leadership responsibilities as we begin this exciting chapter in LS3P’s continuous evolution in serving our clients throughout the Southeast.”
