LS3P projects among top clubhouse designs

March 22, 2017

Two designs by LS3P, the Farmhouse at Wendell Falls in Wendell, NC and the Lake House at RiverLights in Wilmington, NC, earned spots on Builder Magazine’s “18 Clubhouses That Raise the Bar on Design” list. The nationwide roundup of recreational facilities for masterplanned communities highlights the wide variety of amenities and activities offered to residents and guests. As thriving community gathering spaces, clubhouses serve as social hubs and are central to a community’s identity.

The Farmhouse at Wendell Falls, owned by Newland Communities, reflects the region’s agricultural history with architectural materials and forms echoing those of local barns and farm buildings. The Farmhouse recently earned a SPACE Award from the Triangle Business Journal as the Top Sustainable Project in Triangle, as well as an AIA Wilmington Honor Award and an AIA Wilmington People’s Choice Award. The Lake House at RiverLights, also owned by Newland Communities, will serve over 2,000 residences in a mixed-use community near the Cape Fear River.  Both properties were built by Monteith Construction.
