About Bitty and Beau’s Coffee – Savannah, GA: This coffee shop employing people with intellectual and developmental disabilities serves as a community anchor and gives patrons and staff alike the opportunity to see the world through a different lens. Because customer education is a central part of the experience, the circulation guides customers through a graphics-rich merchandise areas explaining the company’s mission, underscoring the Bitty & Beau’s mantra that “It’s More Than a Cup of Coffee.” Created by the design team, the chalkboard-style wall graphics create a light-hearted, playful, and friendly atmosphere, paying homage to the warm personalities of the employees.

About Peppervine Restaurant – Charlotte, NC: This 7,600 SF renovation transformed an existing restaurant space into an upscale new venue with art as the centerpiece. Features include a floating sculptural element that defines spaces, wraps around an existing structural column, and works its way through the double heightened space. Custom artist-designed light fixtures and rotating art pieces enliven the interior. The restaurant design encompasses the kitchen, dining area, mezzanine, private dining room, bar, offices, restrooms, and patio.

About Fork and Plough – Greenville, NC: This farm-to-table restaurant and market allows the local and seasonal cuisine to take center stage. The 3,700 SF existing building was a former grocery store which had been compartmentalized into multi-tenant office space; the new design subtly divides the open-plan space into zones serving the various program elements including casual walk-up order counter, butcher area, retail area, bar area, and main dining area. Each zone is visually distinctive within the unified design aesthetic that flows from the interior to the outdoor seating area.
