LS3P Welcomes Senior Project Architect

COLUMBIA, SC – LS3P welcomed Michael McMurphy, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, who joins the firm’s Columbia office as Senior Project Architect.  With expertise in designs for higher education, worship, and assisted living, McMurphy brings over 30 years of professional experience at firms in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida.

McMurphy completed his undergraduate education at Princeton University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture with a thesis on Architecture and Climate. He earned a Master of Architecture from North Carolina State University with a minor in horticulture and landscape. An advocate for sustainable design, McMurphy served as one of first board members for the South Carolina Chapter of the USGBC, and was the project architect for the first certified Green Globes project at the University of South Carolina.
