LTC financial program adds up

May 18, 2017

A program for money-minded students at Lexington Technology Center earned two national rankings this year.

LTC’s finance program landed in the 30th spot on the 100 Best w!se High Schools Teaching Personal Finance national ranking and in fifth place in the Large Schools category. Sponsored by Voya Financial, the rankings are tabulated by Working in Support of Education (w!se), a New York-based educational nonprofit focused on promoting student financial literacy nationwide.

For LTC, the rankings mean students performed among the highest in the country on the w!se Financial Literacy Certification test. Students who pass the test are designated as Certified Financially Literate.
