LushAcres Wraps Up Summer and Prepares for Fall Festival

August 17, 2022

This summer has had it’s challenges. From the record heat, to bad seed from suppliers. Our farm team has worked hard to overcome these challenges and has delivered delicious food to our market and our wholesale partners. Although it has been extremely hot, we still have got a lot done. We’ve planted our first year in our raised garden on the market patio and are soon completing the patio’s koi pond.

Many of our summer crops have finished and we have cleared those plots for fall planting, and soon to be planted strawberries (for next year’s U-Pick).

We continue to renovate the farm. We have added a 1 mile walking trail that will be opening to the public in September, and we have cleared old fences and brush to make way for the completion of our next phase of the Barnyard Animal Experience.

Plans are moving forward for the 2nd Annual Fall Festival and we are very excited for what we have planned for the community. There will be so much more to do. Including corn cob cannons! Be sure to get this on your calendar for October.
