May 24, 2022

Ahead of the South Carolina primary elections on June 14, 2022, the League of Women Voters of the Columbia Area offers the nonpartisan election resource VOTE411.org. This “one-stop shop” for election information provides Richland and Lexington County voters with simple, accessible tools to help them navigate the voting process. VOTE411 provides personalized candidate information, voter registration details, polling place locations, and other helpful election information for all voters nationwide.

“From local ballot initiatives to important state races, it is crucial for voters in the Midlands of South Carolina to make their voices heard this election year. It is especially critical for this upcoming primary election on June 14th,” said Dr. Lady June Cole, President, LWV of Columbia Area. “VOTE411 is the nation’s premiere online election resource that provides voters with the information they need to make an informed vote for the primaries and in the fall. The League of Women Voters of the Columbia Area has published our voter guide on VOTE411 as a resource for all Midlands voters.”

With resources available in both English and Spanish, VOTE411 helps millions each year — many of them young people and first-time voters — learn more about what is on their ballot, where candidates stand on the issues that affect our daily lives, how to find their polling place, and more.

“The League of Women Voters of the Columbia Area is pleased to provide this important, nonpartisan resource to Richland and Lexington County voters,” said Dr. Cole. “Also, don’t forget, due to a recent change in South Carolina law, no excuse in-person voting for the June 14th primary starts on Tuesday May 31, 2022. We encourage voters to visit VOTE411.org to update their registration information, and to make a voting plan so they can cast their vote confidently in the South Carolina Primaries.”
