Mad Monkey Announces Two New Hires
June 15, 2009COLUMBIA, SC – June 15, 2009 – Mad Monkey, a film production and animation boutique in Columbia, SC, is adding two business development specialists to its team: Russ “Chip” McKinney and Ethan Jackson.
In an economic downturn like the one we’re experiencing, you’re forced to scrutinize your vision and become more focused,” said Todd Stuart, CFO. “Chip and Ethan will help us expand our partnerships beyond the Southeastern region.”
McKinney formerly served as Director of Communications and Director of Public Affairs with the University of South Carolina throughout four administrations. In addition to bringing a national roster of contacts, McKinney has valuable government experience, having served on the staffs of two former SC governors. Prior to his political service, McKinney worked in the news media, advertising and public relations industries.
Ethan Jackson comes to Mad Monkey via Madison Avenue where he spent seven years working in the advertising industry at top agencies including The Bravo Group, Euro RSCG and Publicis. His client service experience with such brands as Kraft Foods, Sanofi-Aventis, Dr. Scholl’s and Whirlpool/Maytag brings an added perspective on strategy and branding to the Mad Monkey mind trust.
Since the addition of McKinney and Jackson, Mad Monkey’s client base has increased by ten percent.
“We’re working with more and more businesses that understand advertising messages need to live beyond traditional media,” said Lorie Gardner, Mad Monkey CEO. “Every message needs to be created with enough flexibility to translate to all screens, whether it’s web, mobile applications, retail or beyond,” she added. “Chip and Ethan are exceptionally good at identifying the companies that embrace this philosophy and then, inviting them to the table.”
