Magistrate Court to Continue at The Ridge During September

August 31, 2020

The Laurens County Magistrate Court will continue to operate from The Ridge during the month of September.  The move to this temporary location in August enabled the Magistrate’s office to dispose of a large number of cases that were pending while also complying with COVID-19 occupancy guidelines.

Due to the large number of cases on the September docket (and those rescheduled from August) and the continuing COVID-19 occupancy guidelines in place at the courthouse at Hillcrest Square, the Magistrate’s office will continue to hold criminal and traffic court at The Ridge, 301 Exchange Drive in Laurens.

If you need to speak with the law enforcement officer who issued your citation or you wish to present your case to the Judge, you will need to attend the court hearing at The Ridge as scheduled.

Those who wish to pay the fine may do so online at https://www.sccourts.org/ or by mailing a money order or cashier’s check with your name and ticket number to PO Box 925, Laurens, South Carolina, 29360.  In person payment can be made at the Magistrate’s office collection window located at the Laurens County Courthouse at 100 Hillcrest Square.

All civil matters will take place at the Laurens County Courthouse, Hillcrest Square. If you have questions regarding a court date or time, please contact the Magistrate’s office at (864)681-0583.
