Main Street Clinton Announces Second Round of Musgrove Street Fire Fund Grants; Deadline Set for April 1
March 17, 2025The impact of the devastating fire that tore through downtown Clinton on August 27, 2024 is still being felt by the community and local businesses. However, from the ashes, resilience has emerged, along with an outpouring of support from residents, local leaders, and organizations working to restore the heart of downtown.
In the aftermath of the fire, the City of Clinton, Laurens County Chamber of Commerce, and Main Street Clinton came together to establish a fund to support the affected businesses. The community rallied around these efforts, demonstrating the strength and generosity that define Clinton.
Now, Main Street Clinton has announced a second round of grant funding, with applications open to businesses within the defined map area that have been affected by the fire in some way.
“The way this community came together to support one another after the fire was truly remarkable,” said Susan Tallman, Chair of Main Street Clinton. “This next round of grant funding ensures that those who suffered losses beyond the immediate fire damage—whether through road closures, utility disruptions, or other challenges—receive the support they need to rebuild.”
