Main Street Laurens to host first Taste of Laurens on Sept. 25
August 24, 2026Main Street Laurens will hold its first Taste of Laurens on Friday, Sept. 25, an evening built around local food, shopping and community experiences throughout the city.
Guests will purchase a Taste of Laurens Passport and use it to visit participating businesses around the Square. Each stop will offer something of its own, whether that is a signature bite, a sample, a drink, a special offer, an activity or another experience.
Tickets go on sale Tuesday, Aug. 25.
“We wanted to create a night that puts Laurens itself on display, from the food to the storefronts to the people behind them,” Main Street Laurens Director Brad Abercrombie said. “This is the first time we have done anything like this, and we think folks are going to be surprised by how much there is to discover right here at home.”
The event is not limited to downtown merchants. Businesses and organizations from across the Laurens community are invited to take part, including those located outside the downtown area. Restaurants, boutiques, service businesses and community organizations are all encouraged to sign up.
“This is not just a downtown event, it is a Laurens event,” Abercrombie said. “If you are a business or an organization that calls this community home, we want you at the table.”
Businesses interested in participating can register through an online form posted on the Main Street Laurens Facebook page. A planning meeting for participating businesses is set for Wednesday, Sept. 2.
More information on ticket sales and the list of participating locations is expected in the coming weeks.
