Mandy Orzechowski named Dean of Tri-County’s Engineering and Industrial Technology Division

Mandy Orzechowski has been named dean of Tri-County Technical College’s Engineering and Industrial Technology Division.  

She oversees the engineering, industrial and welding departments at the College.

Orzechowski joined Tri-County in 2009 as an engineering graphics technology instructor and was promoted to head of the engineering technology department in 2014.  She began her career at Carolina Circuits as a process engineer and was later promoted to engineering team leader, program manager and project engineer.  Prior to joining the College, she taught Project Lead the Way classes to high school students at Pendleton High School and at the Career and Technology Center in Williamston.

She holds B.S. and M.E. degrees in engineering from the University of South Carolina. She is a member of the American Society of Engineering Educators, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and the Americana Institute of Chemical Engineers.  She also is a member of the South Carolina Technical Education Association.

Over the last several years, she has made presentations at state and national conferences on the subject of STEM-related educational methods and techniques.

At Tri-County she serves on the Quality Enhancement Plan core team as well as its implementation team.

She and her husband, Ray, have a daughter, Regan, and live in Anderson.
