Veteran REALTORⓇ and Commercial Broker Mourned by Real Estate Community

Bo Matheny, multi-decade real estate professional and agent at Marchant Real Estate, has died following a recent illness. Bo was a bastion in the Upstate real estate market, working in both residential and commercial fields as a REALTORⓇ and a CCIM designated commercial broker.

Bo was a lifelong Greenvillian, attending Wade Hampton High School and graduating from Clemson University. He worked in the Upstate real estate industry for more than 30 years, during which time he closed more than $100 million in transactions. Apart from his career, he was known for his charismatic personality, authentic care for his clients and friends, and love for the Clemson Tigers.

“We are deeply grieved by the loss of Bo,” said Seabrook Marchant, President and Broker-in-Charge at Marchant Real Estate. “He was such a leader and stalwart businessman, always looking to craft a deal with professionalism and integrity in mind.”

Bo’s memorial service will be held Monday, March 6, at 11 am at Earle Street Baptist Church. Memoriams made in his memory can be sent to Earle Street Baptist Church, the American Cancer Society, or the charity of one’s choice.
