Margie Longshore Serves as Design Director for AIA SC

CHARLESTON, SC – September 1, 2011 – Margie Longshore, AIA, LEED AP, a Project Architect with Stubbs Muldrow Herin architects, inc., is serving serving as the Design Director for the American Institute of Architects South Carolina (AIA SC) chapter.  Margie is one of AIA SC’s Lowcountry Directors for 2010-2012, and as the state’s Design Director, she is organizing the 2011 AIA SC Design Awards program.

 “The stated mission of the AIA/SC Design Awards program is to: Recognize excellence in architectural design by local members of the American Institute of Architects, and in doing so advance the public recognition and contributions of its members, their firms, and their profession to society.  Educate the public about the importance of quality design in creating healthy, vibrant communities, to encourage clients to strive for higher design goals, and to acknowledge their support of quality design.  Provide member architects an important vehicle for peer recognition.”
