Mark Pierman Named Chief Operating Officer of Growing Home Southeast

COLUMBIA, SC – May 5, 2014 – Gayle Ricks, President and CEO of Growing Home Southeast, Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Pierman to the position of Chief Operating Officer. Hired in November, 2013, Pierman is responsible for managing all aspects of the organization’s day-to-day operations, ensuring that programs maintain quality and growth, adhere to compliance regulations and meet or exceed budget expectations. Additionally, Pierman is actively involved in marketing, program development and networking. Growing Home Southeast provides a variety of community based services and programs geared to help children and families in South Carolina, including treatment foster care, supportive housing for transitional young adults, family support services and adoption services.

“I am very pleased to have someone with years of experience leading programs join Growing Home Southeast. Mark will be a valuable asset to the agency. I am very pleased that we were able to lure him to South Carolina,” says Ricks.

Pierman has over 35 years experience in the non-profit business sector, and has served as a nonprofit executive since 1983. Most recently, Pierman served for 10 years as CEO of United Family Services in Charlotte, NC. He is pleased to be in a lead position at Growing Home Southeast. “I am impressed with the quality of the programs and staff, and proud of the work we do. We are making a positive impact on the families and children in the communities we serve,” says Pierman.
