October 30, 2012

EASLEY, SC – October 30, 2012 – Marsh/Bell Construction Company Inc. announces that they have completed construction of the new Anderson University School of Nursing located in Anderson, SC. This new facility, which was officially dedicated with a ribbon cutting held on Saturday, October 27, 2012, is the culmination of many years of hard work and planning. The project consisted of the renovation of the old Vandiver Hall gymnasium, which included the addition of a second floor to total approximately 20,000 square feet.

During the immense project, Marsh/Bell Construction was careful to preserve some of the remnants of the historical building by leaving and refinishing the original wooden floors. The new world-class facility also includes modern labs including robots that talk and mimic symptoms and the area’s only cadaver lab.

Marsh/Bell Construction has already built four student housing facilities and the Thrift Library for Anderson University. “We focused on delivering a world-class facility for them, as well as trying to preserve some of the feel of the original structure. We are very pleased with the outcome. This is a well-built facility that the university can be very proud of,” said Dwayne Bell, president of Marsh/Bell Construction.
