Mauldin Cultural Center brings timeless classic ‘Little Women’ to the stage this November
September 30, 2026Louisa May Alcott’s beloved story of family, resilience, and ambition is coming to life in the Golden Strip this fall as the Mauldin Cultural Center presents Little Women.
Running from November 6 through November 22, 2026, the production offers audiences a fresh theatrical perspective on the timeless American classic. Staged at the Mauldin Cultural Center, located at 101 E. Butler Road, the show invites theatergoers to follow the trials, laughter, and coming-of-age journeys of the four iconic March sisters—Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy—as they find their place in the world.
Based on Alcott’s own life experiences during Civil War-era America, the story centers on the fiercely independent aspiring author Jo March. When Jo struggles to sell her stories to skeptical publishers, a candid critique from her friend Professor Bhaer pushes her to abandon sensational tropes and write authentically from the heart. Taking the advice to heart, Jo begins weaving the intimate, heartfelt story of her family, chronicling the love, heartache, and sisterly bonds that define their home.
Performances will span three weekends across November at the cultural center’s indoor stage. Tickets are currently on sale:
