Mauldin Fire Department Kicks Off Annual LEO Toy Drive

October 12, 2026

Community members are invited to drop off new, unwrapped toys at Station 1 to help bring holiday cheer to children across Greenville County.

The holiday season may still be a few weeks away, but local first responders are already preparing to make sure every child in our area experiences the joy of Christmas morning. The Mauldin Fire Department has officially launched collection efforts for the annual LEO Toy Drive, calling on Golden Strip residents to help brighten the holidays for families in need throughout Greenville County.

The holiday drive aims to collect gifts for local children ranging from newborns up to 12 years of age, ensuring that area families facing financial strain or difficult circumstances have presents waiting under the tree.

Donation Snapshot & Drop-Off Details

Residents, civic groups, and local businesses looking to contribute can drop off donations during regular daytime hours:

  • Drop-Off Location: Mauldin Fire Department (Station 1), 955 W. Butler Rd., Mauldin, SC

  • Collection Spot: Look for the designated donation box located directly inside the station lobby.

  • Gift Guidelines: New, unwrapped toys suitable for boys and girls from newborn through 12 years old.

  • Items to Consider: Board games, sports equipment, interactive learning toys, dolls, action figures, building sets, infant/toddler developmental toys, and art supplies. (Please avoid gifts that require unwrapped food or used items).

Delivering Hope Across the County

For local firefighters and law enforcement officers, participating in the holiday toy drive is an extension of their daily commitment to community service. Beyond responding to structure fires and emergency calls, first responders regularly encounter local families during vulnerable moments, making holiday outreach initiatives like this deeply personal.

Organizers emphasize that every individual toy donated represents more than just a holiday gift—it is a tangible reminder to a child and their family that their community stands behind them.

Residents dropping off gifts are welcome to step inside the station lobby, say hello to their local firefighters on duty, and help fill the collection bins before distributions begin later this season.
