July 14, 2014

COLUMBIA, SC – Mayor Steve MacDougall graduated from the Municipal Association of South Carolina’s Elected Officials Institute of Government on Friday, July 11, 2014 during the MASC Annual Conference in Charleston, SC.

During the conference, Mayor MacDougall was also elected to serve on MASC’s Association of South Carolina Mayors board.

The Elected Officials Institute is specifically designed to give South Carolina municipal elected officials a knowledge base for establishing good public policy for their hometowns. It consists of both in-person sessions and sessions streamed to councils of governments locations across the state.

The Association of South Carolina Mayors provides opportunities for South Carolina mayors to more fully engage in advocating for issues that affect cities and towns; to network, share ideas and best practices with other mayors; and to take part in educational activities.
