McKay Firm continues to grow Civil Litigation team

The McKay Firm is continuing to grow their Civil Litigation team with the hire of new Associate, Wesley Harkness.

Wesley practices in the areas of Trucking and Transportation Defense, Premises Liability, Construction Defense, Government and Section 1983 Defense, Business and Employment Litigation, and General Liability Defense. Wesley prides himself in advocating for his clients and navigating complex legal issues.

Before joining The McKay Firm, Wesley served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Debra R. McCaslin, Resident Judge for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, from 2021-2022.

A graduate of The University of South Carolina, Wesley received his J.D. from the Charleston School of Law. While in Law School, he was a member of the Charleston Trial Advocacy Board, where he competed against other Law School Mock Trial teams across the nation. During law school, he had the opportunity to clerk for a mid-size defense firm, a small Plaintiff’s firm, and Charleston Pro Bono Legal Services, where he gained valuable diverse experience that led him to continue his career in litigation.

Wesley resides in Columbia, and is an avid outdoorsman.
