McMillan Pazdan Smith Announces New Healthcare Projects

SPARTANBURG, SC – October 4, 2011 – McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture announces the award of a new 13,000 SF medical office building for Upstate Lung & Critical Care Specialists and a 10,000 SF facility for South Carolina Pharmaceutical Research to be co-located at North Grove Medical Park in Spartanburg, SC. The single story facilities will provide research and treatment options for patients with a variety of lung related diseases with examination rooms, laboratory, research and x-ray spaces to support 7 physicians.

The firm recently completed a 5,500 SF renovation and 3,000 SF expansion of the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System’s Gibbs Cancer Center in Gaffney, SC. Designed to provide Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology services together to citizens of Cherokee County, the project includes the addition of a Linear Accelerator, CT Simulator, Examination and Chemotherapy Infusion rooms.

The Healthcare Studio at McMillan Pazdan Smith is focused on the design of functional, yet compassionate environments that promote healing and rehabilitation.
